Robin opened the envelope eagerly. She’d been looking forward to receiving the tickets for a West End show their client had promised to send. She took out the tickets, looked at them and began to laugh, before passing them across to Cormoran.

“Seriously?” he said. “These are the tickets he’s sent us?”

Robin read the note which accompanied the tickets. “He thought they would be appropriate.”

“Of all the possible plays he could have chosen, he went for The Mousetrap. Maybe we could pass them on to my sister. Even better, I could give them to her for her birthday.”

Hhahaha! Good one! That's exactly the perfect play for a couple of detectives...I'll bet the client thought they were just the thing, too. Talk about a busman's holiday! (Oh wait a minute, *that* was Dorothy L. Sayers, not Agatha Christie--)
