THE COFFEE KIT CAFE IS NOW OPEN

Jul 04, 2011 20:31

You're walking down the sidewalk on a hot, sunny day, bored with the monotony of your life. You pause by the stop sign and wait for the light to turn red so you can cross the street. You idly think about what awaits you--another day at work? School? Ugh, how boring--and just wish that you can just get away from it all ( Read more... )

Pick a Spain, any Spain. (All the Spains? IDK just no Prussias he doesn't get on with them. ;A; ) gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 12:05:04 UTC
Pretend for a moment that you are the Kingdom of Prussia (circa 1815, thank you). Now, if you were the Kingdom of Prussia and you just got handed a card to a café by someone who looked suspiciously like your good friend the Kingdom of Spain, only rather tiny and adorable and with kitty features. What would you do?

If your answer is, 'Head to that café in search of adorable things and churros' you would be pretty damn good at being the Kingdom of Prussia, because that is exactly what he's doing.

He stops in front of the building, looking down at the card in his hand, then back up at the sign on the building. This seems to be the place. ...Oh, right, especially since there's that cat-Spain kid. Whom he offers a little wave, before tucking the card in his pocket.

Awww, why~? kitty_tonio July 5 2011, 12:20:28 UTC
Tonio is more than happy to see that Prussia has come to the cafe. He answers the wave with a bright smile and a more enthusiastic wave before making his way towards him, their first guest!

"Gilbert~" Tonio greets him by name, smiling up at the tall Prussian in warm welcome. His ears twitch happily. "You came~" Then he lifts his arms up as if casting the legendary Cheer Up Charm.

"Welcome to the Coffee Kit~!"

Something about other Prussias being annoying and unawesome. XD gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 12:54:41 UTC
Is picking up the staff allowed? Hopefully, because he did just pick up the adorable little Tonio. "Of course I did!" He grins widely, positively beaming at him. "So, what's this café all about, then? I can get churros, right? Please tell me there are churros." Prussia can and will start pouting if there aren't churros. Which will necessitate the use of more than one Cheer Up Charm to cheer him up... or someone rushing to make churros. Either way, do we really want Prussia to be unhappy?

No. No we don't. An unhappy Prussia might go on the warpath as a means of becoming happy, and then there would be no café.

He can't stand himself, apparently. XD; kitty_tonio July 5 2011, 13:06:12 UTC
Well, so long as you don't try to kidnap Tonio it should be fine. He's one of the cafe mascots after all. He can't just disappear.

Tonio is happy enough to be picked up, curling up against Prussia immediately as if they have known each other forever. He nods happily at the barrage of questions. "It's just here." He means the cafe, of course. It just sprung out of nowhere to fulfill his Mun's need for more RP...

AHEM. Back to Tonio! He's now nodding more enthusiastically, beaming. "Of course! Churros for Gilbert!" Spain did promise him churros, yes?

Basically. And yet, he fails to realise that others can't stand him for the same reasons. gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 13:13:59 UTC
But what if he needs a cute kitty mascot of his own? ...Maybe he can dress St Maria up in a kitty costume, then. Considering he's sure this place probably has a bouncer to keep patrons from causing trouble. Gilbert reaches up to scritch Tonio behind an ear, grinning as he enters the café. "Awesome!" And yes, yes Spain did, though he still won't believe it until there are hot, delicious churros right in front of him.

With hot chocolate. Can't have churros without hot chocolate, at least in Prussia's mind. They're like the perfect combination. Almost better than wurst and potatoes.

Of course~ haha kitty_tonio July 5 2011, 13:17:35 UTC
That would work! Though St. Maria might not agree to wearing a kitty costume...?

And Tonio practically melts at the ear scratch, purring deep in his little chest as he leans more against Prussia. He'll just stay there for a bit until Prussia stops.

He's oblivious that way. XD;;;;; gewehrundblut July 5 2011, 13:24:36 UTC
Well, there is a reason why when he says 'dress St Maria up' he means 'force St Maria into', which he can do by sheer virtue of being bigger, stronger, and knowing where the kid sleeps.

Since he doesn't immediately spot a host, he just goes ahead and seats himself. Actually, even if there is one to worry about, he would just seat himself anyways because he likes the look of this particular table. It's right in a nice, warm, sunny looking spot. Besides, he has an armful of content and purring kitty-person. Can anyone well and truly argue with that?

Ah, but it would be a bit awkward for Tonio's mun to have to try and play both Tonio and whomever his maid or butler is going to be, so with a final scratch, he sets the little Spaniard down.

Poor St. Maria. Really. Well, at least he'll look cute.

Green eyes blink sleepily as Tonio is set down, looking up at Prussia from the floor a bit disorientedly. A small fist lifts up and rubs at one sleepy eye. "I'll get you Spain, yes?" Small as he is, Tonio knows his duties as a mascot, which is to bring people in. He's done his job well.

He'll look absolutely adorable.

Oops, apparently that makes him sleepy. He'll have to keep that in mind for the future, because it's probably not a good idea to make the mascot tired. "Ah, whomever's free is fine." He leans against the table, grinning still, because, seriously, that's one of the most adorable things he has ever seen.

Totally adorable~ ♥

Tonio waves goodbye and goes in search of whoever is free.

It doesn't take long before Prussia's host (or rather Butler) makes his appearance. Prussia will probably be amused at Spain looking more dapper than usual in his tuxedo. The formal clothes however, don't really make Spain any less cheerful or exuberant. Nor do the clothes encourage him to make more of an effort to really fix his hair to go with his cleaner look. Brown curly hair is in its natural state, no gel or much of combing for him.

Well, it doesn't really matter. Spain brightens up immediately at seeing the Prussian sitting at a table already. "Prussia~ You're here!" He quickly makes his way to him. "I'm so sorry for not getting to see you at the door. They should have told me!"

The sight of Spain definitely makes him grin, because something so formal is not anything he can really picture the laid back Nation being comfortable in. Ah, but the ungelled hair suits him well, even with the more dapper clothing; besides the fact that Germany probably uses enough hair gel for both himself and Spain, and possibly Prussia as well, though Prussia never bothers to tame his hair any.

"Ah, it's fine, it's fine. The little one was too cute; I couldn't put him down~" Well, up until his desire for churros trumped the adorable that was an almost sleeping kitty Tonio purring away in his arms. "Now, I believe you promised me churros~?" One track mind, he has. For churros he came and so, he will not leave without having had some.

And unfortunately I have to go, but I'll be back to tag tomorrow! si_espana July 5 2011, 14:17:01 UTC
"Ah, you've met Tonio?" Spain chuckles softly, green eyes crinkling at the mention of the adorable little catboy. "I'm glad you like him. I'm sure he liked you too."

And he outright laughs at the mention of churros. "Ah yes, of course, of course." He nods, brown hair swaying a bit at the motion. "I should get them done before Romano makes an appearance. I think he wants me to cook for him too." Of course that is said factually. It's a usual thing for Romano to want Spain to cook for him and he expects him to follow through. Spain hardly complains about it now.

"Tch, why d'you let that brat boss you around like that, Tonyo? It's not awesome! Make him cook his own food!" Which... rather defeats the point of coming out to a café, he supposes, except he rather doesn't care. Of course, if Romano is here, then maybe he can flirt a bit. Actually, scratch that, if Romano shows up there will definitely be flirting, whether the Mediterranean nation likes it or not. It would be a fitting sort of revenge for Spain having to cook for him ( ... )

"But then it's like he's not in a cafe at all, yes?" Spain is of course, going to point out the obvious. And Spain doesn't mind, really. He hasn't seen his cute little henchman in forever! He'll cook him anything he wants~ "And you know how he is. He's very picky. He says he doesn't want to cook anything Sweden or Lithuania cooks..."

He gets distracted when Prussia mentions hot chocolate. "Of course!" What cafe wouldn't have the hot chocolate option for non-coffee or tea lovers? And what is churros without hot chocolate anyway? Well... Exactly just churros, but that's just so plain. Prussia has the right idea! If you want to enjoy churros, you have to have them with hot chocolate!

"What else do you want? I'm your Butler for today, you know~"

"Oh, but I'm sure Schweden is a fine cook!" Actually, he's never really had Sweden's cooking, the truth is merely that he finds the man to be utterly terrifying and has no desire to get on his bad side. Besides, they kind of share a North German culture... sort of... maybe... a little... so his food can't be all kinds of weird and strange. Also, Prussia will eat England's cooking and find it only mildly disagreeable, so really, he'll eat almost anything.

"Hey, if you're my Butler, then you can't go around cooking for other people..." Is that an evil grin? Why yes, yes it is. It appears that so long as Romano shows up while Prussia is here, Prussia will protest the idea of this Spain going to cook for the brat. While flirting with the Italian, of course. He's an expert multitasker. "....Or maybe you can; I don't get this sort of café at all." He leans on the table, pouting slightly at Antonio.

Yes, Sweden's cooking is normally very simple, but hearty. Kind of similar to German cooking, actually. Prussia will probably need no prompting or intimidation to actually like it.

Spain nods in agreement, his smile not at all fazed or lessening. "I think so too! I like his pea soup and those pancakes!" Spain and Sweden have pretty good relations and of course Spain, being the oblivious derp that he is, is hardly scared of the intimidating Nordic.

The Spaniard blinks at Prussia's reasoning. He tilts his head as he thinks. "Well, I think I'll have to be your Butler only until you leave..." Oh, Romano would probably not like that. Can he have two Masters? Can he do that? He's not sure either.
