The Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen authors (poets included) who've influenced you and that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. Tag at least fifteen friends, including me, because I'm interested in seeing what authors my friends choose.

Stephen King almost got a mention on my list, purely for his book On Writing.

I don't read much horror, though I don't mind if my SF bleeds over wanders in that direction sometimes.

I like this meme, it's pulling me towards re-reading old favorites that I haven't touched in /way/ too long.

So at some point I should chat with you about Faulkner. Because, uh... why is this book your favourite? Jason is the most empathetic character from a purely mechanical perspective - he has the most punctuation. Though I'm just starting Dilsey's section, and I feel bad for her already.
I also have some confusion over whether Quentin's father was Quentin or Dalton Ames. Was the latter merely a breaking point for the former? (If this is all answered in the last section, nevermind!)
