A couple of months ago, Tricia Sullivan gave an interview in which, among other things, she discussed the fact that the proportion of Arthur C Clarke Awards going to women has nose-dived in the last ten years -- one winner between 2001 and 2010, compared to five between 1991 and 2000. I've answered this to Rose on Twitter, but for anyone else: Published anywhere, by writers from anywhere. As long as it's a novel, by a woman, and you consider it science fiction, and it was published between 2001 and 2010, it's fair game.

2001 and 2010 of course makes sense. That means that where I put Crescent City Rhapsody by Kathleen Ann Goonan, it does have to be Light Music.
