Every time I hear someone bitch about how high our taxes are, I just want to point them to the awesomeness of the library system. There's a lot of fucked up things our government does, but the library is just ... neat

Sorry, I didn't get this comment notification. Erg, LJ!
I hate Excel with a fiery passion, and I'm not entirely sure why. I know how to use it, and use it on a daily basis at work. Maybe that's why? I wouldn't call myself an advanced user or anything, but I do know the basics and I find it to be very useful. But whenever I think about using it, ugh! Maybe I'm just weird.
It's probably just personal preference. I used it every day in college, grad school, and at work, and I still like it a lot.
I looked up classes that our local library offers and all we have are classes for old people on how to check email. :-( I didn't see anything on the Phoenix library site, either. Too bad I don't have a Tucson library card I can abuse. I always had the University library so I didn't need one.
Yeah, the Pima library had the link buried in a news announcement. I just happened to be checking out the news on the library site to scope it out for jobs :)
I decided on a grant-writing class, because that's something I've had on my mind for a while. Might come in useful someday. And I may actually do an Excel 2007 class if I end up getting this new job I've been interviewing for. My current work is super stingy so I have the '03 versions of everything. I'm totally good when it comes to Word '07/'10, but Excel takes some adjusting.
