Grrrr.

There are few automotive industry things more frustrating than the Geneva Auto Show. That's the show where we get to see all of the cars that are being built for Europe, and won't be exported here. It's like waking up on Christmas morning and being told that your family converted to Judaism overnight.

Now I'm depressed, too. That Focus Wagon looks like exactly what I would want to get when my Corolla lease is up. As far as I know, the Outback is the only wagon they sell in the states anymore. Unfortunately it costs a lot more than I could spend.

You have a few other options. There's always the Chevy HHR, but it's more of a mini-SUV.
The Subaru Impreza has a few mini-wagon options, but Subaru isn't making deals these days.
VW has the Jetta wagon, a bit smaller than the Passat. The Audi A3 is another small wagon, but expensive.
I think you can still get a Ford Taurus wagon, but I haven't checked it out.

I'd be all over that Ford wagon, even in what appears to be the stock plum color. As it is we're looking at used Outbacks, since the new ones have morphed into some SUV-esque monstrosity.

I did not realize that VW still made the Jetta wagon. Unfortunately Ford doesn't make any wagons any more. When they stopped and restarted Taurus they didn't bring back the wagon.

When my lease is up I will probably be looking at the Matrix or Venza simply because Toyota might cut me a "loyalty" deal. Otherwise it's hunting for used wagons.
