Massive double linkspam

Jul 21, 2011 20:48

So last night I was tired and also there was a pretty bad thunderstorm, and now I've got yesterday's linkspam and today's Comic-Con movie news to deal with. And deal with it we shall, in the most orderly way I can manage.

DEEP BREATH )

harry potter, poe, spider-man, twitter, alien, sin city, iron man, prometheus, comics, drive, the hunger games, wonder woman, linkspam, lord of the rings, fandom, too many damn snow whites, twilight, conventions, movies, sparkle motion, superman

I think the spoiler discussion is interesting because the poster for an upcoming film (highlight for title: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
) actually gives away the major twist. And it's one of those things that unless you've read the novel you wouldn't pick it up, but I still find it to be an odd choice on the part of the publicity people.

I guess they're assuming they can't spoil people who've read the book, so it's just an inside joke to that fraction of the audience? Or something?

Re: that thing about CLockwork Orange.... I know all those words in that sentence, but clearly that has been like, mistranslated or something because that makes NO GODDAMN SENSE.

A man gets kicked to death... in a jolly fashion. I... just... what?!

My face made the most amazing contortion when I read that.

I would like the Snow White dress if it had a different skirt color. The top is gorgeous with those puff sleeves.

Clockword Orange mets West Side Story? What like Officer Kuptke kicks a prisoner to death with a Puerto Rican beat and jazz hands?

And dear god, those back muscles were amazing.

My first reaction to that Snow White picture should not have been "Are those Lily Collins' real eyebrows? They don't look like the eyebrows I remember... is that actually some bad Anne Hathaway clone?"

Her real eyebrows are probably under there somewhere.
