Hahahahaha, I love how they are using a promotional photo from Hex in that Prometheus article for Fassy.

It is so so so so bad and yet so good. It is crack television. It hits me right in the Id.

It's not quality TV by any means, but Fassy is a complete and total badass in it. Also, a really good villain.

I can totally see Fiennes as Bond. HOT.

Well, Daniel Craig is coming back; Fiennes is "a darkly complex character."

I'm not entirely sure at this point; I keep reading conflicting things. I think they're being cryptic on purpose.

In conclusion: Jeremy Brett.

Bwahaha. But seriously, haters to the left-side egress, etc. You can have your semi-serious modern take AND your wildly-silly period take and enjoy them both, re-freakin'-lax, people. As if we wanted to chase RDJ away from what looks like a hoot of a role. Sheesh.

I really enjoy both versions, yet online so many people act as though you can only like one or the other. I think they're so different there's not really much point to comparing them.

I'm a huge fan of the ACD canon, and I appreciate Sherlock and the Guy Ritchie movie for what they are. I think the series is a great updating of the canon, and Ritchie's movie was actually a very faithful adaptation of canon, even if it was wildly different from other adaptations. Sherlock Holmes is a great character. Downey and Cumberbatch may have different takes on him, but you can see both in canon at different times.

So, to sum up, I'm a fan of both. Why not?

Right?

It's all more of the good crack - other fandoms only wish they could essentially get double-doses of their canon.

And one is practically a canon AU! This is the stuff that fan dreams are made of.
