So this Formspring thing keeps glitching and not letting people see older answers, which also means that people are asking duplicate questions because they can't see what I've already answered. And I am getting asked a lot. I've answered 200, and I've got something like 83 still hidden in the inbox. So what I'm going to do is copy-paste the answers ( Read more... )

Don't you mean backdated 3/8? Since 2/8 was last month?

Did I say 2/8? Crap. Backdated to today, starting tomorrow. Something.

2) Because I'm a loser.

I'm not going to lie and say that most of us know you very well, but just from casual reading of this journal for kicks, I will fanatically challenge you on this front. Witty, entertaining, and intelligent individuals certainly do not count as losers.

"Because I'm a loser."

I know, I felt like gasping at someone to shut their mouth with that kind of nasty talk. I'm 23 and living with my parents and Cleolinda gives me hope that they're not going to kick me to the curb with my boxes of books once I'm done crawling towards the shimmering mirage that is my degree.

I think I feel a lot of guilt and shame that I'm still living at home (well, wherever you live is "home," but you know what I mean), and I'm over 30 now. And there are people who would agree that I should feel that. I don't know--my mother just really believes in me as a writer and has since I was a kid, literally since I was a kid, it verges on insanity on her part. It's taking me a long time to get to where I need to be--professional writerly success--but she just really has no doubt that I'm going to get there, and acts like it's just a matter of time, bless her. And so the three of us live here, and it really just feels like three adults who happen to live in the same house. I kind of take on a house-sitter/keeper role during the day, I help out where I can; I get up at seven or a little before and go straight to work, rather than sleeping the day away in a pile of pizza boxes and dirty laundry or whatever. For a variety of reasons, it works for us.

I just saw the last 3 episodes in 1 sitting. I am stuck in Dubai for a few more weeks. I thought the kid and the appendix were to drive home that the realities split at the time of the explosion. In Island reality, Jack had his appendix out a few seasons ago. I the new reality it came out at age 8 and he had a kid. I can't wait to see who his ex-wife is. As for the end, I do not see how anything like this could ever live up to every persons expectations. For a recent example, look at how many disgruntled HP fans there were after Deathly Hallows.

As for the Oscars, thank you, I was stuck at a customer site and you were my Oscar link. thanks.
