Unrelated to this... but did you see the amusing Twilight parody on Cracked.com?

Ah, sorry to resend! I felt it was my internet duty as a Twilight-detester. :) Carry on!

Ah, no problem--I hadn't actually posted the link yet. : )

I hope Fincher looks back on that video with horror!

You know, considering that he had Injured Billy Idol and Ford Fairlane footage (AUGH) of a guy who wasn't even allowed to be on MTV to work with, I feel like he did a pretty good job.

Yeah, true. But the whole 16-year-old girl turns on thirty-something guy is just sooooo skeevy!

Yeah--and I always wondered to what extent it was supposed to be real and not just his fantasy, I mean, with the way she just marches up to his door all like HI CAN I JAILBAIT FOR A FEW MINUTES and then when she leaves, her entire outfit is miraculously restored, even though the last we saw, her shoes were in the aquarium and her shirt was in the sink.

I also have always wondered how old the girl was in real life.

The loser guy is way too shocked at the opening chords for someone who seems to have at least one giant pop art painting of Billy Idol in his swanky modern apartment. The volume must have seemed louder to him.

Yeah, I always thought that was kind of weird. I mean, he's got his yuppie plate collection and all, but really, he should be a little smoother than that.

That's probably supposed to be one of Julian Schnabel's famous paintings that incorporated broken plates.

(Scroll down in Wiki to "art".)

Well, I at least feel a little better about the guy now. I was really concerned that he had (I thought) the decorative taste of a soccer mom.

Oh god, that video cracked me the hell up when I was 12, and continues to make me snicker obnoxiously to this very day.

I did it too!

I'm probably gonna get The Dark Knight Tuesday when I get paid (because I'm broke right now). I'm not sure if I'm gonna shell out for the special 2 disc edition or not yet.

Hee, yeah. I asked for it as a present, so I was like, "Look for the most loaded DVD set they've got. But not the one with the Batbike thing. I don't need a Batbike." I'm going to have the house to myself tomorrow, so I plan on spending my birthday watching it and eating ice cream. Hope my dogs like explosions!

Oh yeah, it's your birthday tomorrow! Semagic told me so. Happy early Birthday.

I saw the one with the Batbike at Target for like $50. Dude, how is a little plastic batbike worth that much of a markup?

Hee, thanks. And who WANTS the Batbike? I don't get it. There are collectibles you could put with the DVD that I would actually want--like... well, when I think of one, I'll let you know--but... that one?
