We're all gonna diiiiie. No seriously. 90% chance of a 6.0 or greater within the next 50 years (actually I think it was technically 2 years ago that they said that... so the next 48 years.) It could come any day now.

But yeah. It woke me up too. I was kinda like "Hey, that's an earthquake." and was mildly impressed by the duration. Then I went back to sleep.

We had earthquake drills at school too. Basically it was 'get under your desk', but as I recall, we only did that a few times. Tornado drills were the big thing, but when we eventually did have a tornado during school hours, there was chaos because the teachers were more frightened than half the students. There were tons of fire drills too, but uh.. the schools I was at seemed to spontaneously catch on fire. At least three times during the two years I was at my middle school, some kind of small fire forced everyone out into the field for an hour >_<

But I digress. You'd think even people who had never experienced an earthquake would have seen enough movies to know to get into a doorway (if it's bad enough.)
I've had to lecture my mom on this though. Her bedroom doorway is probably the worst place she could go, unless she wants to be crushed by her TV.

(P.S. You and I seem to share a lot of interests =))

Hilary Swank as a Browless Earhart in 'Amelia.'

Ugh. I'd have to agree, Cate would OWN the role.

I think Amelia Earhart had eyebrows, they were just freakishly light for some reason and didn't photograph. Which is weird, because eyebrows are usually darker than your hair, aren't they?

I can't believe I'm talking about Amelia Earhart's eyebrows. The internets are so weird.

I was born a blonde. My hair darkened; my eyebrows didn't.

Me too. I have had people come up, look at me, and go "huh, you have no eyebrows."
