I ended up writing a bit last night about fighting writer's block--adapted in part from my response to a comment on the previous entry. So, you know, if it helps you, rock on

Wow...you just took all the writing tips I have filed messily in the workspace of my head, and laid them out in neat rows. Is it all right if I point people here?

Reading this reminds me why I should never be allowed to give anyone advice on writing, ever--I'd want to say something like this, but it would come out as "Just don't suck, stop complaining, and write something, you big baby."
I have needed something like this for so long. I have been suffering from an incurable case of writer's block that has been dragging on for well over a year now. I would write, and end up trashing it. Nothing was ever good enough.

Oh, and this is kinda off subject, but do you(or anyone) by chance, remember the html coding for linking to a LJ user? I'm having a brain fart right now and can't remember it. :-P
Hey! Someone else who uses the brackets! Mine tend to range anywhere from "[Name]" to "[And here's Sophie's letter, which I really don't want to write right now. But it's about ferrets.]"
I am in the horrible habit of polishing as I draft, which makes me a slooooooow writer. On the bright side, revision is a little less painful.
