I think that this is truly the first time that the noun "antidisestablishmentarianism" may fit! I'm fighting for people to be able to fight people who fight about religion on the Internet! Cyberantidisestablishmentarianism!
I think that my first post got like twelve comments. People couldn't believe that I actually posted. Blame Shawna and Sterling and Ryan the most.
Is it pathetic that I have more people "friended" on here than real-life friends? I mean, I have my students, whom I adore, past and present (and in Drew's case, future!), and my colleagues, but I mean, people who you'd call up just for fun and catch a movie? Yeah. Who are these people?
You know that I worked for UPS about 9 months something like a dozen years ago. Loaded boxes in the midnight sort at the Orlando hub. Yeah, I never was in better shape in my life. That was a job that really made you sweat. Paid well, too. But I exchanged it for a night desk clerk job at a hotel within walking distance of my apartment by UCF. Yeah, I had like five or so different hotel jobs in the years after, so I'm glad I did that. But UPS was great.
Yeah, my dad's worked there for more than 25 years. He used to be the boss like a long time ago, and then he demoted himself cuz he didn't wanna have to be such a prick. I thought that was funny.
There is no competition. Derek is a cool dude in a loose mood, so I don't suspect that he'll mind. And yes, he could overwhelm my comment capacity, I am sure.
