[Action - 460 stone Street]

[Tsubaki, unlike most residents, doesn't immediately jump out of bed, bolting around the house in a mad panic. In fact, she doesn't move at all. It had been so long - probably the first time since Funatsu had taken charge - since she felt truly content. The feeling of the sun streaming through the window was something ( Read more... )

[Hi, Tsubaki.

There's a woman sitting about seven or eight feet away from you, looking like she's doing the exact same thing. Sitting outside and enjoying the sun. There's a book on her lap, but it's paperback and soon goes flying away from a small gust of wind.

And into the street. To be run over by a car. Being Rider is suffering. ]

Ah--!

[Tsubaki's eyesight may be horrible, but she can see enough to notice something blow away from another figure, and it was hard to miss the car zooming by...

She giggles.]

I hope that wasn't anything important.

[Siiiiigh.]

Not particularly. Just a book on home-making... Though they'll probably fine me for this now...wonderful.

[After checking for the dark shapes of any approaching cars, Tsubaki stands and walks over to the tattered book. She picks it up, brushes it off, and goes to return it to Rider.]

Here. It's not too illegible now, is it?

[ Mikiya is just out walking through the streets - probably just leaving from his job to go home - when he spots Tsubaki sitting there. Even though he just walks regularly at first, he can't help but stop for a moment when he notices she just keeps sitting there. He's not really good at leaving others alone, yup, so he approaches her somewhat curiously, but with a small smile on his face. ]

... Good day.

[Tsubaki turns to look at the newcomer, clouded eyes squinting ever so slightly to try to get a better look at him.] Hello.

Out here alone today?

[ Yes, he's just going to strike up a chat. Totally normal. He seems friendly enough, either way. ]

Ah, well, the weather is rather nice..

Mm, I agree. It's been quite a while since I've spent time outside on a day like this.

[ Tsubaki is being watched by a small figure which is standing on a nearby roof, hair and black cloak blown by the wind. She's watching her VERY carefully. ]

[It's not normal for a drone to be sitting outside and just staring at the sky. And Dakki was pretty sure that the girl basking in the fall sunshine was someone that she had never seen before. It was always good to say hello to one's neighbors...]

Aah. Hello there!

[She stands at the edge of the property, still on the sidewalk, smiling as she greets the girl. First, caution. Then, further assessment.]

[Keeping her distance? That puts Tsubaki on alert as well, though to her credit, it doesn't really show.] Hello. May I help you with something?

[This seems to be going pleasantly enough so far. Still, she remains off the lawn.]

I didn't recognize you as one of the usual neighbors. You're new here, aren't you? I'm just here to say hello. And to make sure that you're doing alright.

You seem to be doing well enough. [She laughs.] It's a nice day, isn't it?

[Like a 50's sitcom neighbor (fitting, given the location), Peter suddenly swings opens the front door. His eyes are cast down as he mumbles something to himself, working out some internal list on his fingers. He turns to shut the door behind him, peers suspiciously out the windows, then turns around to see a nervous looking young woman, leaning a hand against the wall and looking alarmed. He hops backward a little in shock, then brings his arms up in a defensive position before hesitantly asking...]

...You're not delivering pizza, are you?

[Just... this face.]

Do I look like a pizza delivery boy to you?

....No.

[He lowers his arms cautiously.]

Not to stereotype or anything, but you didn't meet the zit count requirement.

...What are you doing in here? How did you get in?
