Baby/pregnancy update - 38 weeks

I had my 38 week appointment this week. Believe me, it was not exciting. No change from last week on the dilation/effacement front. My blood pressure was still good, urine test was fine, baby's heartbeat was "in the 130s" so still normal. Only thing even vaguely noteworthy is that I apparently managed to LOSE 3 pounds this week. *shrug

It would just be too convenient for him to decide to come this weekend while Becca is there.. it usually doesn't work like that.. he'll wait till it's most inconvenient.. hehe that's how they are :) My labor started on a Wednesday evening and by 10pm I was having full on pains but they were never regular so I didn't call the dr until 3:30am when they hadn't stopped.. even still they told me that I could wait until they became regular or come on in if I wanted to.. glad I did cuz by the time we got ready and got to the hospital I was ready to go (I think I was 6 or maybe even 7 cm by that point).. so just be prepared for it to be a little crazy the next few weeks while you wait it out.. I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers..

That's actually normal in the last few weeks, so don't worry :)

Of course, it didn't happen to me, but everything I'd read said to expect it in the first couple months and in the last few weeks.
