It arrived Thursday afternoon, and I spent the rest of Thursday setting it up. Hooray for pre-loaded software! My printer network linked right up, my wireless card is super strong - it found FIVE local networks, ( Read more... )

Dang. I posted on the "bad" day.
That's the bad part about an extended blacation. I came back and didn't know what the heck was going on until it was too late.
I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I wouldn't worry about it. I noticed a drop in postings, but it didn't really see much difference.

I didn't post, but I did comment. :O Actually, I pay for my LJ, so I didn't really care about the strike.

Hi,
Just a bit of an off topic here - I'm just learning the ropes of the Science and English Praxis tests. I know you've been through them both. Perhaps you have some good tips for studying and/or preliminary knowledge that would help me?
Thanks,
Dorit

I didn't take the English, I took the Elementary School Content Knowledge test, and Middle School Science. Anyway, get the study guides from ETS. I bought mine on Amazon, they were cheaper than from the testing people. It won't tell you the answers, but they have a list of subjects that they test on. I went through and highlighted everything I needed to study and then looked it all up. They also have practice tests in the back, which are very useful to identify any gaps.

Good luck!
