Okay, I've heard of this thing that can happen to contracted writers. It's like a Publishing Urban Myth. You don't really believe it, but you're afraid of it nonetheless. Unfortunately, it's not a myth, and it CAN happen to you.

I lost my editor.

Sounds like you have a great attitude about the whole situation, though.

What a bummer. This hasn't happened to me, yet but I know alot of writers it does happen to.

Good luck with your new editor. It sounds like Samhain really likes your work so I've sure you'll get another great editor.

I feel for you. I really do. I've been there. I was with Jessica at Samhain when she resigned. I was so terrified my new editor wouldn't get me or my writing. But honestly? Angela hooked me up with Eve...and I'm happier now at Samhain than I've ever been.

Been there oh, three times now.

Once with Berkley, once with EC and lastly with Samhain. Try not to stress about it. Odds are things will work out just fine. ^_^
