Clark had the most screentime from the other centric characters but I didn't realize it while I was watching the episode. I've missed him :(

Absolute Justice=Absolute Boredom.

You are right in that they kept talking about Clark as if he had done nothing so far when the truth is that, apart from wearing the costume and flying, he's been Superman for quite a long time already.

What a waste of time this event ended up being!

Agreed! I felt like noone recognized it though.
It was boring, especially in the first half. Tom did a great job with the directing in the second half :)

I liked it more than you did, I think, because the comics fan in me was thrilled with certain aspects, but:

//I was hoping that everyone would be amazed with Clark. NOT amazed by his fate but amazed with what he already is.//

This is a great way to put some of the frustration I too, had with the ep, wrt Clark.

If I was a comic book fan I would probably enjoy it too.
I definitely didn't like the fact noone recognized Clark as a true hero.

I liked it...when I wasn't bored, which I was. In the first half mostly.
I thought the second half was TONS better but ITA with what you said- needed more Clark and it should have been pointed out that what Clark is doing NOW is good and amazing. Because it is.

But hey, at least everyone was really hot. We can always take solace in that with this show.

In the first half I was really really bored and I definitely needed to hear some nice comments about what Clark is doing all along.

Clark was very beautiful as always and I enjoy that in every episode. Tom's direction was amazing, too. yay!

I understand the tepid reaction though I enjoyed the episode immensely. I liked that they identified away that Clark wasn't like "them" (Chloe and Ollie), and that this was unequivocably a good thing. Sometimes I wonder at the moral stance of the show since Clark apologizes for everything and nobody else ever does. I liked that in part one it was very much Clark's investigation with Chloe helping him, rather than the opposite, and that from the first you could see him willing to give the old team the benefit of the doubt. I loved his lines about admiring their loyalty and the team being a work in progress. And of course their was some fun Lois stuff too. So all told, I thought there were some good Clark bits scattered along the way. I would have preferred if he was the one who struck the decisive blow against the Fate Icicle at the end but you can't always git what ya wa-ant.

I liked that part, too. I enjoyed every part with Clark of course but I hadn't imagined it that way. I was expecting some nice comments about what Clark is doing and not only telling him he would be great some day because he is already great.

Can't wait for the Clark/Zatanna scene next week *hee*
