Just a suggestion, you don't need to create new tags when there are tags which already exist that cover what you are talking about. For instance, there is no need to create a tag called "book" when there is already one for "books." It makes it harder to search the tags when you have multiple tags for the same concept.

I prefer not to do that, but I do a lot with search engines on websites, etc. and sometimes people search in the singular of terms, and sometimes in the plural- I sometimes do that myself, too. I started doing that on the advice of a web design book's tagging advice.

Is there some sort of LJ rule against it? :? If so, then is it proper to use the singular or the plural forms of the search terms? Which is proper? :?

I think the reasoning here is that in this community, our list of tags is so long it's hard to find the one you're looking for, so we try to limit them somewhat by eliminating redundancy.

(The other problem being that some of the tags you used really don't have much to do with this post directly at all.)

The other problem is that there *is* an upper limit on the number of tags a journal can have. I think it's 1000...

(I should look that up.)
