Nice resolution. I kind of make resolutions whenever, but not the New Year, but I made that same resolution this spring. So far, it's working out pretty well.
Also, we had to read Montana, 1948 last year too. It's really good, but weird and sad.

I'm not so sure about changing things in CSS but I'll give it a try. =) It's fair enough if you don't like it, I don't think that it's the kind of book everyone likes. I KNOW that they are bad books but for me, they are just SO ADDICTIVE! I've had a books list for the past two years, just not on LJ. And I have always meant to do the movies one. this year I remembered. =)
