Bicycling peoples ...

I'd like to look at getting a bicycle for riding to and from Trax, and maybe a little around the neighborhood. I'd like something lightweight, and I honestly don't care about gears; thinking 3 would be nice for any hills, but I don't think I need a 10-speed. I'd like to keep it affordable (way less than $400 ( Read more... )

My Father put mine together with help from the above. It is my understanding that they will help just about anyone in need of a bike. Hundreds of dollars are not needed.

For Salt Lake's hills, you really are better off with a ten-speed than something less geary, but if you want to kick your own ass, wake up sore every day for weeks and end up with calves and glutes of awesomeness, less gears is fine. I ride an 8-speed usually, and while I love it, almost every daily commuter that I know is married to the 27 gear variety, except the single-speed freaks, but most of them are on drugs or in impeccable shape ( ... )
