A funny thing happened...

The oddest thing about creating LJ polls is the "drive by" voters. Every time I do a poll it seems that a couple or so complete strangers feel the need to tick a box. I don't mind of course. It's all part of life's rich tapestry but it is a bit peculiar.

random observations, polls

As one who is likely one of those random people, my reason is that a) I have found someone's flist that is full of interesting things and people so I read it all the time, even though I don't know any of these people and b) I am constitutionally incapable of not clicking a ticky box. So, there you are. :D

As I said, you are very welcome. Please feel free to tick any other boxes that take your fancy.

These are the people for whom the whole gamut of Tickybox! has been devised.

i've found that if i want answers to questions or contributions from friends on the FL, it works MUCH better to make a poll than to just ask. People prefer multiple choice to fill-in-the-blanks, it seems, and prefer fill-in-the-blanks with a text box to just a plain ol' question!

I get those too. About 1/3 are friends-of-friends, another 1/3 are seemingly people who come to my LJ from my website, and the last 1/3, well, they seem to materialize out of nowhere.

Watch for a new pronunciation poll tonight!
