Hee, beautiful Melissande with the cerulean eyes, huh? I think Melissa is working on a Mary Sue there! LMAO! Your ficlet made me laugh. It's good to see the humor in your writing.
*grins broadly and nods* It was meant to be over-the-top and Mary Sue-ish. You know how some kids are prone to exaggeration and everything that happens to them is inflated.
Thanks! I was picturing her writing out her homework instead of typing it, but I didn't know how to work it into the fic without handwriting the first part myself.
Aww, so cute! Melissa has a fertile imagination, though I'm with JT. What will Melissa's teacher think when she reads the Mary Sue? I really like this a lot because of the warm relationship between the sisters.
Thanks Mags! Melissa was definitely writing an over-the-top Mary Sue. :P I do wonder what a real seventh or eighth grade teacher would think of her essay though. When I did creative writing pieces for my English grade school classes, my teachers were mostly concerned with grammar and creativity.
Awwww, that was very sweet, and NO, I don't mean that in the sugary sense. Princess Brat and Princess Meanie have that sibling rivalry thing, but I think they genuinely like each other.
*Laughs* Melissa (or Melissande) reminds me of myself when I was growing up. I would insert myself into whatever I was reading or writing. I automatically assumed the role of the main character and I would get mad at the author if I didn't like how the story turned out. Lovely little ficlet.
*grins madly* Me too! I didn't insert myself into my writing, but I did insert myself as characters in my favorite books. I remember reading Little Women and I was so angry when Amy ended up with Laurie. I was so disappointed because Jo was my absolute favorite character. *sigh* Thanks for reading!
