Benedict, Frankenstein and London

Feb 20, 2011 17:23

First of all, sorry for the lateness of this post. I actually had it all ready to go yesterday and then somewhere between hitting the 'Post' button and the page loading, the entire thing disappeared. I've had to start all over again today, so it's taken a while.

Right, well here goes my attempt to write some form of report on my Frankenstein ( Read more... )

lj friends, squeeness galore, frankenstein, london, theatre, benedict cumberbatch, encounters

"I love that in the pic of Big Ben you can jus see me holding my head in confusion lol. "

I only realised that after I'd posted it! LOL

"Guh, why look at me? I have given no indication of my preference for this man, at all."

Oh really missy? *remembers a certain discussion involving you and our desire for a petition regarding Ben's clothing options* ;)

"I got your msg, I will email pics to you later tonight :) Prob put them in a zip file, if new lappie has winrar ;)"

Oky doky thanks. By the way, have e-mailed you mine this evening.

I actually got nervous reading this. I skimmed as fast as I can, 'cause it made me nervous, how weird is that?! LOL Great to read it back though :D Glad I wasn't the only one who can't remember it all from the stage door. I didn't even really know he chatted to Laura.. *headdesk* She told me of course, but she has to tell me the entire conversation. Stupid me..

It was magical wasn't it? Quite great to hear you describe how it was to see him for the first time coming from the middle of the room :) I remember Laura's hand squeeze and realising it really was your guys' first time :D It made me all fuzzy inside and reading this back is awesome indeed :D

Btw, that theatre? Smallest I've ever been in LOL XD

Oh good, I thought it was just me that was a bit hazy over the whole thing! I do remember him talking to her, I just don't remember what was said. LOL

Thanks hun, it was the only way I could really describe it.

It made me all fuzzy inside and reading this back is awesome indeed :D

Awww I'm glad. You know, I think that I've written this as much for myself, as for others. It's sort of an important record of my 1st Ben experience, just in case I start to forget more things over the years!

Btw, that theatre? Smallest I've ever been in LOL XD

Really? Wow, that's interesting. See I thought it was one of the largest I'd ever been in. Funny that isn't it? :)

There was just one point where he's signing someone's thing and he turns to her and says 'was it the food?' and I'm like: What the hell?! XD Completely missed his swearing LOL

Apparently it is really big LOL In all fairness, it was the biggest theatre in the sense of plays I've ever been to, but not in the sense of musical theatre and such.

Aww I loved reading back about your day and experiences, even though I heard most of it in person (or I was there). Sounds like you had a wonderful trip to London and I'm glad you got to meet Ben!! (and the random Una encounter! I still can't get over how awesome that is :D).

Wow, it sounds like you had an amazing time Lauren! I'm even more excited about going to the theatre in April now, and I honestly didn't think that was even possible :)

Great report too, you've really conveyed the excitement of the whole experience, I was actually squealing a bit just reading it!

Verity, xxx

All these Frankenstein posts are giving me warm fuzzies.

Mmm, 'all curls and paleness and high cheekbones'. He's so beautiful as Victor (the green coat and the wedding outfit are both amazing - they make his waist seem even tinier than ever), and he brings considerably more to the role than is written. (The part of Victor seemed smaller when I've seen Jonny play it.) For all of that, it's still Creature I want to see time and time again, which I find kind of reassuring. I always thought I was this interested in Benedict because of his talent, and knowing I'd choose to see him pushed as an actor instead of at his most stunning makes me weirdly happy.

You'll get to full sentences eventually. It took me till that third go to manage more than 'Hello, you were amazing. Please could you sign this? Thank you!' Saying very little is better than accidentally saying far too much.

In short, it was a damn good day.

All of this is why I adored him as Victor so much, it was that combination of extraordinarily beautiful looks and incredible acting talent. :)

Well obviously I can't compare them until I've managed to see him as the Creature. I might well feel as you do, once that's happened.

Indeed! *hugs*
