Whenever I finish a chapter of this, I just can't help but think how perfect it all is in my eyes. I love the story so very much and I love the pacing, the characterization, the relationship Cas has with the Winchesters...
I (shamefully) admit that I got a bit teary-eyes at the bit where Cas wanted to tell Dean that he did count, but couldn't. (I'm such a sap.) And I just cannot ignore how much more special the fic becomes because of the whole "asexuality" issue. You get it oh so right. Spot-on!
SIGH. When I see updates of this on my feed, the day becomes exponentially brighter. c:

I hemmed and hawed over who Castiel would have been married to. Not Amelia, because he's not Jimmy. Not Anna, because I done and made her a nurse. OC is boring. I liked Rachel for the wife because of the broad strokes of her canon character: fiercely loyal and defensive of him, but in the end a strong difference of beliefs.
I always enjoy finding what little bits stood out for readers, cuz it's always surprising (well, not when the little bit involves kissing *g*).
So glad to hear that the ace aspect is still ringing true!
Thanks again! Comments like this make me giddy :D

If heterosexuality was my main thing, I would prolly ship Cas with her. LOL (Oh I scare myself)
I love nurse Anna too btw. :) It's nice to see her as the staff and not the patient this time haha.

I love LOVE the fact that he was married to Rachel (the fact that you included her makes me very happy). And the slow build was so well done and that last line nearly knocked me out. Just so bittersweet. Amazing chapter! ^___^!

Yay!
Actually, I'm wicked surprised over people's responses to Rachel making a cameo appearance, but in a good way!
Thanks!

I just love the relationship Cas has with the boys.
That last line. Ugh. Love it.

Cas being married has been on my mind for a long time, and Rachel felt right out of all the canon options (except he doesn't kill her here :P). It was important to have him find that perfect companion, and it *still* didn't work (if Church doctrine hadn't come into play, it would still have come undone, that just made it happen faster. Sorry for the Pope-bashing! It was Dean, not me!).
Thanks!
