The Year In Review!

Jan 24, 2006 13:46

Ok, I admit, I'm not a huge updater. I write here once in a while, just for shits and giggles. But some folks say they want to know more about what I'm doing, and that I should update and stuff, so here's my review of my life in the year 2006. That's right, all 24 days of it. Fear the summary. FEAR!

On the First Day of January someone gave to me... A craptastic marshmallow peep! )

karate, pictures, music, holiday, party

Well you know Sensei wanted you to break them because he figures the kids aren't much smaller than you. He didn't want to hear any parents saying "Well, sure, those big guys can break this stuff, but my kid is just a kid!"

But breaking kids... now that's challenging. They're all soft and squishy and they don't stay still on the breaking station. ;-)

Do people really call you "Sir"? Whoa, there goes my belief in the rightness of the universe. ;)

That's the very same face I make when forced to eat Peeps - ich!

Yeah, they just call me that until they can rise up and slay me. It's only a matter of time.

But yeah, peeps. Blech!

Yeah, you really need to get back here more often. Otherwise you lose all that Hiveish goodness and then you return to normal civilization and OH NOES TEH HORROR!

Seriously, yeah. We need teleportation. This whole fly cross country seven hours expensive thing is way overrated in my book.

Yeah, it's hard to get the kids to stay on the breaking station long enough to go through them. They're always wriggling and squirming and sometimes you just have to use a few taser rounds to get them to settle.

And thanks. Don't worry; I don't hit people. Just bricks.

I notice they cut the film right after you finish the break. I'd wager that's to hide when you started screaming in agony. ;)

Sweet break dude. What is your style?

Hehehe... ironically, the hurting part was because the support cinder block toppled in the middle of the break and slammed into my knee. You can see it happen if you watch the block on the right.

We do Isshinryu karate. Although we have lots of bits of other stuff that we teach, especially jujitsu and some weapons styles.
