I did not visit Stephie today, but Julia her mother called a little bit ago and says her x-ray showed improvement! I know any little improvement is good news! Today was an emotional day for the people there. I heard what one doctor said to Sammy and I,and then at the end of the day I heard what the pulmonologist said to Julia. Well everything Meredith said before is still happening!I visited her this afternoon with my daughter Kelsey, and Stephie opened her eyes grabbed Kelsey's hand and with an E.T.tube in her mouth, she kissed Kelsey's hand and started to cry a bit! I just got a message from Momma Julia. She says that Steph has had a good last couple of days. They are weaning the Vent and hope to have her off in a couple of days. Her chest x-ray is looking better, which means the antibiotics are working at getting rid of the infection. They now say that they don't believe it is ARDS. I visited with Stephie yesterday evening and Tony was there, ofcourse. Her aunt Kathy is down from Melbourne and stays with Step during the day so mama Julia can sleep and Then mama Julia spends the night with her!
