I'll bet the cats appreciated the quality time. Thank you so much!

I hope Erik is okay, feeling better, and doesn't need surgery!

Happy to help with the cats! (I wasn't sure if you'd want to be identified in a public post as not being home.)

that night he had a fever of 103.8 [...] However, when they were preparing the blood for the lab Monday night, they noticed something: the "white" part, which is supposed to be transparent, had a yellowish tinge. So my vet predicts that the bilirubins will be high.

Your cat is choleric? Clearly, he needs to eat more cold, wet things, like grass. :}

Aha! And here I thought that was just normal for orange cats -- pigment flow and all that. :-)

(Well, err, he does eat mostly canned food, and since he doesn't eat an entire can at a time it's usually been refrigerated...)

All three are good games. I've gotten to play Shadows Over Camelot a few times and picked up my own copy. Arkham and Caylus I've only played once. Caylus is more involved then Puerto Rico, but I can see where the comparison comes from.

I wasn't that fond of Arkham Horror, but I suspect you'll really enjoy Caylus.

I'd never play Arkham Horror just based on the name, but Dani had fun with it and he's not really into the genre either, so I'm willing to give it a spin.

Heck, I only tried My Life With Master because a good friend wanted to give it a try and assembled a good group of players. And that turned out to be fun (though, alas, we never finished the game). So these things can surprise me. We'll see. :-)

Oh, the genre had nothing to do with my opinion of Arkham Horror -- I just thought that the game ran pretty long for what it had to offer.

Another cooperative game I liked better was Elfenlands.
