It's so sad how I only get to blog if something's wrong with facebook. I swear, facebook can eat me now. The level of addiction is outstanding. My blockmates tell me I'm online on it everytime they are. :O It couldn't be that bad right? Facebook pag gising, facebook bago matulog. Oh well, facebook everything in between, even when I'm validating ( Read more... )

Hahaha... I was in a more intimate forum with Maria Ressa na before, but she left right away so no opportunity to photo op. And you're right, of course I'll so be there especially since Econ is so convenient to go to, I didn't even have to queue, I just had to help out in the registration. Yay! LoL. Although it was rather stressful dealing with people who wanted to register but not able to get seats anymore.

While that is believable, and I do believe it since you're a journalist and all (btw, diba yumayaman din yung mga ibang may political beat this time of the year? =P), I don't think the same is true with Ping:

1. He had had his eye on the presidency for a long time now.
2. His reputation is BAD right now. I don't think he had enough foresight to be able to take advantage of that.
3. As aforementioned, he's not the traditional money-making politician. Kamay na bakal nga lang siya, and in economics, you call that a trade-off. =P

"When we asked for her photo she commented on how much she wanted to talk about climate change but was not given an opportunity to do so. I guess that gets a plus since environmentalism does not get a lot of political attention since it does not seem like a populist cause."

Hm. That's funny...I got from a reliable source that she mixes up climate change and global warming in her Senate Speeches. So much so that her aides have to issue press releases every time she talks about it just so they can cover up her mistakes. Anyway, if she's really for environmentalism, then good for her (and us). But honestly, how much weight should be given to her statement about being all environmental friendly and stuff when she can't even differentiate two very, very different environmental issues? Hehe.

Wow, wish I was there. *jealous*

Haha, thanks so much for that Chubby and to your internal source. It's the thought that counts raw kasi in environmentalism. Unless there are more than one person in Senate who actually cares about those issues, I guess for her it doesn't matter if she just wings her way through it.

Wish you were there also!!!

"She kept on hammering about Cultural Renaissance which is good if you're a beauty queen or Imelda Marcos"

i'm envious! i wish i was there :( i saw that forum on channel 2 last sunday and am in total awe of cheche lazaro--and feared the day that erap will be president again. i hope he leaves his "charm offensive" out of malacañang, really.

i want a picture with cheche lazaro and ricky carandang! and also want to meet maria ressa! *envious again*

NGL, Binay seems like the only good bet at the moment. Not the best, but hoping for the best for this coming elections is delusional.
