You know things are bad when he attends a ballet performance and spends the whole time twitching in his seat because he kept on expecting the dancers to spontaneously combust at any given moment.
(Good thing he has acquired an impeccable poker face, yes?)
It's probably an odd detail to fixate on, but I don't think I've seen many Ky pics that get the way strap over the top of his sleeve stretches when he raises his arm like this to look as right as it does here (weird little bit of costume that it is). It's something you notice a lot when you're wearing that damn costume, which may be why it sticks with me so much. ^^; Nice pic!
Come to think of it, does his design show how his sleeves attach to the main body of his shirt? I never did understand the exposed shoulder and collar bone rationale (maybe to attach shoulder pads?), but I'm not complaining about the eye candy either.
Under the arms, presumably, though the real killer of the design is how he's basically got his arms strapped to his sides by the belt running through the middle (unless they've invented uber-stretchy belt material by the future). I never understood the exposed shoulder rationale either, except, as you say, to look pretty - which it certainly does very well.
That or to confuse people. One or the other must be the rationale for every costume in the game.
You know, there's a fancomic out there where a curious Johnny tightens Ky's chest strap and, seeing how he's unable to move his arms, asks if he's into bondage XD
Compared to the nightmare that is the Overture designs though, the Order uniform is an epitome of clear, logical design.

It was originally supposed to be Ky giving out commands in a perfectly serious manner, but then that line popped out of nowhere XD

(Ky is secretly relieved, too, but this is a matter of principle! And decorum! And common sense!)
