When I think of snow, its usually connected with cold and wet. I grew up outside Philly where snow is beautiful but rarely soft. Soft snow makes me think of New Zealand and when it snowed in Dunedin. This has been a good week. I finished my fact checking, had an absolutely wonderful day of substituting where I was able to do some teaching. I spent over an hour helping a student read which made me feel great. It was also in a place I've subbed before and they're always friendly and nice. At the moment, life is pretty good. I wandered around some favorite shops today and yesterday arranged my New York trip. The weather is cold and I love it, this is how winter should feel. Also I'm enjoying the Snowflake Challenge a lot, its a good way to get me doing as the year begins.

At the middle of this week, I'm feeling pretty good. I have an interview for the beginning of July and I'm finding some other job openings. Also there was a gorgeous thunderstorm last night which I was able to get pictures of, the clouds were unreal.

I've had a long but good day where my meeting this afternoon felt like it went really well. It snowed last night and the cold is coming so now it feels like January. I'm happy to be home in the warmth and not to have to go out into the world until tomorrow.
