Oh, this was lovely. Got me a little choked up, to be honest. All your stuff about Tumnus and his father just breaks me heart.

though he felt how his father’s hand gripped his hair, the only way that he showed his fear.

whispering to his father’s painting how sorry he was. He had failed their line,

It is so heartbreaking to think about the despair Tumnus lived in all those years. And the last time Mrs. Beaver came for tea - just so heavy and beautiful in its own way. I think my favorite was the one where he wished for the snow to fall for a change, to cover Lucy's tracks though - like the change in tides for Tumnus' fate.

This was perfect and just the imagery I was looking for. Thank you so much!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Tumnus is a complicated character and I love looking more into who he is and how he lived through all those winters. I have a fic in mind about many teas with the Beavers and how tricky it was for all of them.
