A quick update.

X-rays yesterday showed that the mass in Cricket's lung is stable to slightly smaller.

A little lump I found on her belly, was just a lump of fat!

Her next check up will be in another month.

\o/

So far, Cricket shows no signs of side effects for treatment #1 other than maybe a slight restlessness, and her feeling a bit warmer to the touch. Possibly unrelated to treatment and related to a condition she had when she was younger, she has been unconsciously dribbling a bit of pee. So she needs to be watched and let out regularly.

Tomorrow at 4:15 will be Cricket's first chemo treatment. We've decided to go with Palladia. We should know within a month or so if it's doing anything for her. It's not a cure, it's just intended to extend her lifespan. Palladia is a new drug (2009) so if it doesn't do anything there is a fall back treatment that's been around longer.

A friend of mine is throwing a mad hatter bday party for his husband. Those not attending the party were asked to send in a picture, of our own mad hatter party "cheersing" Danny. Here is my contribution! It was bloody humid and hot outside, so even though I thought of a few more things I could add, I decided that this would do :)

Camp! is a place out of time and space really. It often takes hours or a day or two to become present to that shift. My goal, or rather my wish, was to become more grounded. I've been feeling rather detached from life as many I've talked to in person may recall. As soon as I got to Camp! this year I immediately started to have issues with my feet. ( Read more... )

It's been a long day and I'm going to bed when I'm done this.

I took Cricket to the vet today to have her chest x-rayed because she's been coughing as well as to have her teeth cleaned.

I wasn't home an hour or more when the vet called to say that the film showed a "mass" or something on the chest film and they were deferring the dental until we ( Read more... )

The day after I brought the bunnies in, I put the two babies back in the nest and kept an eye on the yard through the day. Around dusk, I went into the guest room, the window there overlooking the veggie garden, and I saw what I thought was a rabbit about 6 feet away from the nest. I wasn't sure, thought it could be some brown plant material.
