I got a netbook for to improve homework portability, particularly in the case of homework that requires specific programs (i.e. Visual Basic). It also means that I can access my online classes wherever I can find an internet connection. I have to say, for the small amount of money it cost (in comparison to other laptops) it is incredibly convenient

yeah, they're great devices. and if they break or are stolen or whatnot, it isn't thousands to replace.
