After a day spent doing practically nothing, Jack headed down the hall to Sam's room.

He was grinning as he knocked on the door, really hoping she'd be there.

"Open!" Sam called from around a mechanical pencil.

"I could have been anyone," Jack said as he pushed the door closed behind him, and stopped dead to stare at the papers on the floor. "You look like you're deeply engrossed - want me to come back later?"

"Jack!" Her face let up in a grin. "No, not at all. I was stuck anyway."

She may not have realized exactly how that sounded.
