Spike hasn't been out in some time, he's been keeping mostly to his room trying to sleep and heal up like a mortal. It's working but slowly. Unfortunately since his last experience in the woods he hasn't been much for 'hunting', if you could call it that anyway. He's currently in the kitchen with a bit of milk on the stove for cocoa. Tsuzuki is likely looking for a snack about now: a long day of working in the sun, scraping the ground for a patio on one of the terraces in the back garden has left him hungry, and the smell of hot cocoa is enough to bring him to the kitchen.

"Hey there, is someone making cocoa??" he calls out, peeking around the door.

"Oh, yeah, and and flowers. I planted the irises around the pond out front and I'm planning to put some hydrangeas off the back porch, too," he says. "I've always been good with plants and flowers, since I was a kid."

"Well you're keepin' yourself busy I guess, and there's nothin' wrong with a hobby. Keeps ya from wantin' to grind your brain to mush."

"Yeah, I might seem like a slacker on the surface, but I like working with the earth. I dug that pond out front, and I'm thinking of putting in a patio on the terrace in the back garden," he says. "I wouldn't mind the extra pair of hands, if you wanted to help out."

"If I were to help it'd have to be after sunset, or on a particularly rainy sort of day. 'd be something to do, which I wouldn't mind. Though I may have to heal up first."

"Oh, don't worry: I'm still planning out the patio, so I'm in no hurry to get started on it for a while," he says, reassuringly.

"Well let me know when you need it and you've got help. Like I said I could do with keepin' my hands busy."

"Will do!" he says, cutting up the cake.

"So does anyone know what set off our furry not-so-friends, or was it a case of evil puppies being evil?" he asks, going to look for some forks.

"Got no clue, 'd like to find out though. Have there always been wolves 'round here or is this a new occurrence? Wolves aren't the friendliest of creatures to begin with but 'd reckon there's someone behind the upsurge in activity. Usually is."

"I wonder if Morgoth is behind this: he made his presence known at Halloween, when he took an innocent prank some friend of mine were playing, and he turned it into something nasty," he says. "We'd collected some mice and bugs and critters like that, and set them loose in the house to spook people, but somehow, they turned into giant versions of themselves."

"Morgoth?" He hasn't heard the name before but he nods a bit. "Given the name I'm sure, never heard of a bloke with a name like Morgoth who wasn't in on something dark and scheming."

"Yeah, you don't want to mess with this guy: he's pretty much the Devil himself, under a different name," he says, shuddering. "I haven't seen him face to face, but I hope I never do."

"I reckon I might like to meet this bloke."

"I don't think you'd want to: by all the accounts I've read, he can turn a person's psyche inside out by just lifting his little finger," he replies, wibbling.

"Bet you I've met tougher." Is all he says, leaning back cockily in his chair and wincing a little at the wounds in his shoulder. "Wolves notwithstanding. Those buggers got no manners, and no monologue. You get 'em on the monologues you get everything."

He chuckles a bit, but there might be a bit of a warble in that laugh. "Oh, I know what you mean: I've dealt with an especially nasty energy vampire who seemed to like the sound of his own voice: he'd blither on about the weirdest things, just to keep me distracted. Never did the Hollywood villain thing and revealed all his plans, not till after he'd executed it."
