[Open Post] A cup of hot cocoa.

Jun 30, 2011 14:48

Spike hasn't been out in some time, he's been keeping mostly to his room trying to sleep and heal up like a mortal. It's working but slowly. Unfortunately since his last experience in the woods he hasn't been much for 'hunting', if you could call it that anyway. He's currently in the kitchen with a bit of milk on the stove for cocoa. A pot of hot ( Read more... )

Well, let it never be said that Dean does not have an almost preternatural sense for when someone is producing sweets from scratch. It's not the exact company that he would normally have expected to find himself in, but it's just not threatening to find a vampire making cocoa. Or... working with bandages?

Dean can help with the repairs, as it were, and more than that he will if need be; for now, he's just coming into the kitchen again, favoring his own gnawed upon leg and scratching gingerly at the bindings just showing from under the edge of his red henley's sleeve pulled up to 3/4 length on his arms. He scans the kitchen - habit, and recently reinforced at that - before moving further into the room.

He looks up at the man who enters the room and gives a bit of a nod as he dips a somewhat bloodied washcloth into the pot. "Long time no see, mate."

The hunter had noted the vampire, of course, but there'd been an open cabinet door blocking his unobstructed view; the few steps it takes Spike to say hello is enough to clear the field, though, and Dean raises both eyebrows when he glances over.

"Hey - dude, are the washers broken again? 'Cause I thought I talked to the landlord about that shit..." Dean's met a few people who have no sense of humor, so he nods to what Spike's doing with the pot and the sheets to make sure he's understood.

"Guess he never got 'round to it." He laughs very slightly, trying not to jolt himself too much. "Be honest with you wouldn't need this if I could just get something to eat. Healing's a lot slower when you can't feed yourself."

Tsuzuki is likely looking for a snack about now: a long day of working in the sun, scraping the ground for a patio on one of the terraces in the back garden has left him hungry, and the smell of hot cocoa is enough to bring him to the kitchen.

"Hey there, is someone making cocoa??" he calls out, peeking around the door.

"Yeah. Fancy some?" By now he's fiddling with the things on the table, intently pulling at the strings on a bloody washcloth.

"Sure thing," he says, coming into the kitchen, then noticing the bloodied washcloth. "Whoa, you okay there, fella? You didn't get bit by those wolves out there, did you?"

Spike's eyebrow raises at the word 'fella' but he ignores it for now. "Yeah, and a right good job they did bloodying me up. They get around to you?"

If Spike is observant, he might see what appears to be a mask of a strange, spiky-haired gothic clown on the wall. On further inspection, the mask is a head that is protruding from the wall, and it might be grinning at him a bit wider than before...

I couldn't help myself: Ryuk was bored and wanted to come out...

He doesn't notice, at first anyway. Eventually he starts getting a funny feeling he's being watched and he scans the room, eyes falling on the odd thing that wasn't there before. "I don't reckon I've seen you on that wall before, so I'd reckon you weren't. Am I right?"

"Heh-heh, you can see me?" the thing asks, phasing through the wall. "Yeah, I was hangin' out, seein' if I could smell any apples in here."

"Blame the supernatural boost of being undead, it isn't always a treat." He eyes the creature subtly up and down. "Sniffing around for apples for a reason?"

11-12 walks into the kitchen, eyeing Spike warily but he does give him a friendly smile if he looks his way.

He nods in return. "'lo"

"Hello...," he answers, going to the fridge and looking inside. "Have you seen any salad around here?"

He shakes his head. "Can't say I have. Though even if I had I'd tell you you'd be better off with a steak or somethin' a bit more substantial anyway."

And here comes yet another chew-toy of Morgoth's bad, bad doggies! It's Hisoka, and he's still limping badly. Amazingly, he has regained the use of his left hand.

And otherwise, he looks cheerful enough. He takes in Spike's trappings. "Sheets? Hey, Spike, don't you know there's gauze in the medicine cabinet?"

[If he's already been re-wrapped, disregard Hisoka's comment.]

He shrugs which causes him to wince a little. "Don't know where that is and sheets'll do well enough. How've you been?" Clearly he is not paying enough attention to notice the limp.

Hisoka replies, "It's in bathroom right down the hall, in the towel closet." Then, he admits, "I didn't realize it was there, either, until a couple weeks ago when I went looking for clean washcloths so I wouldn't have to do laundry. Well, if you want to use the sheets. What were you going to do, rip them up into strips?"

There's a small nod. "Works well enough and you don't have to worry about the size of them. Just make 'em as you need 'em."
