The night of the red moon, Tsuzuki had started to worry that 11-12 had become Muraki's first victim, since he hadn't seen the young man in some time; even when he learned that Shilo Wallace was the target of his nemesis, he still worried about the shy young man he had met that first day of his arrival. Thus, when 11-12 enters the kitchen, he'll find a very relieved Tsuzuki there, eating a bowl of soup as he waits for the tea kettle to boil.

"Hey there, 11-12, where've you been? I was starting to worry about you, buddy."

"Oh, I know exactly what you mean," he says, finding a bowl in a cupboard and ladelling a couple of scoopfuls into it. "There's something about hearing that another person has gone through some deep stuff, when you've been through some bad things yourself: it helps you to realize that you're not alone in feeling like the world's on your back, and that if someone else can carry that weight, you can too."

"Yeah... Where I was... not many people were very understanding about those things," he frowned a little. "They were a little hypocritical."

"That's awful," he says, setting the bowl before him on the table and fetching a clean spoon from a drawer. "I'm sorry you went through that: it's never right for anyone to dismiss another person's sufferings. But at least you're here now and you've got someone who gets what you're talking about," he adds with a gentle smile.

"Yes," he gives Tsuzuki a small smile then glancing down at the bowl. "Thank you," he takes the spoon and tries the soup.

"You're welcome: I hope you like it," he says. "I put a few spices in it to give it a little extra zing: it might have started out as plain old chicken vegetable soup, but this should make it tastier."

It's... certainly got zing to it...

He smiles then tastes. At first it's not bad then his eyes widen and he starts coughing. "Hey-hey.. What did you put in this?"

"Ah, some parsley and garlic powder, a little paprika for color..." he says. Then a worried look crosses his face, "Did I... put too much in?"

"I.. er... I'm not used to this sort of thing," he gives it another try though, grimacing slightly. "It's a little... sharp."

"Yeah, I've been told my cooking needs some getting used to," he says, a bit dejectedly now. "I didn't think I put too much in..."

"I'm sure it's really good. I'm used to wraps and more recently there was a lot of simple sandwiches...," he gave Tsuzuki a smile. "It just takes a little more getting used to for me, yes."

"Yeah, sandwiches are hard for anyone to wreck, even me," he says, with a self-deprecating laugh, as he rubs the back of his neck, a bit embarrassed now.

"Did you have some of this?" He offered Tsuzuki his bowl. "How does it taste to you?" He was trying to help but he knew virtually nothing about cooking himself.

"I had a little, but I might not have mixed the spices in well enough," he says, hunting for a clean spoon and taking a taste of it. "Hm... tastes fine to me, but I might just be used to it."

Or a dead guy might just have dead tastebuds...

11-12 has another spoonful himself, but carefully.

"Do you cook in here very often?"

"Well, not very often and most of the times that I do, it's just for myself," he says. "I guess I have stronger tastebuds than most people do."
