Zillah has been quiet for some time--studying in the library, mostly. She's been reading her usual choices--Hannah Arendt and some of the French existentialists. There's a part of her that likes to think that she can always learn something new, and that knowledge is power. It's important to her

She might be surprised to see a young, blond guy in green and tan medieval garb, emerging from the house with a mug of tea.

In the nearly two years since he arrived her, Parsifal has developed a taste for this odd drink from the Far East, as well as growing accustomed to other things which his mind once considered outlandish.

She looks up in surprise when she sees the strange man, and raises an eyebrow.

"Uh, nice outfit?" she manages to remark, sort of confused by his looks.

He'll look around, a little surprised by that voice, then looks in the direction of it. "Good morning, and may the Lord be with you, my fair lady," he says, bowing to her.

She can't help but scoff a little at that comment.

"Thanks, I guess."

Someone else is coming up to the porch, a lady in her early forties who looks like she wandered in out of some Victorian costume piece on Masterpiece Theater.

Emmeline is just coming back from her morning constitutional: the paths are a bit uneven due to snow, but it's good exercise. "Good morning," she says, friendly in a polite, British way.

Again, a bit of surprise.

"--Morning..." Zillah manages to say.

"And it is a fine morning," she says, glancing at the snowy yard. "Rather snowy for walking, but I managed to conquer the rough paths. I hope that I'm not interposing on anything."

[ichbinzillah]

She shakes her head.

"No, you're not, don't worry. I was just--being bored."

Hisoka is running up the porch steps with a rifle slung on its strap behind his shoulder, instead of either of his usual choices -- sword or shotgun. Under his other arm are a couple of books. "Oh...hello!" he says, seeing the young woman with her cigarette.

"Hi," she says, warmly enough, and smiles a little.

"Nice combination--books and a gun." Zillah's a little impressed.

"I certainly have found both to be useful," replies Hisoka. "And you?"

[ichbinzillah]

"Me? Never used a gun, but I'm fond of books." She grins.

Nerds gotta stick together yo. Jane is nearly pacing around the front door until she decides to go to the porch. She spots the girl smoking and wonders if she has another cancer stick on her. Zillah may be greeted by a pretty woman in glasses with dark skin and short blonde hair.

"Hey...you mind sharing?"

[ichbinzillah]

She looks up, shrugging.

"Yeah, I got another one, don't worry." She grins a little, easily, almost laughing, and pulls out another cigarette.

"Thanks...you got a light too?" She asks as she takes the cigarette.

She nods and takes out some matches and a matchbox. "Couldn't find a lighter. Weird, right?"
