The room had been almost empty and seemingly deserted when Hunny found it. But he knew it was the perfect place for the Host Club meetings. A quick look told him it was about the same size as the music room that they used at school for this

Iphigenia might be nearby, and when she sees Titus, she grins--she thinks he looks silly and adorable all at once.

"Hello!"

He looks up at her approach. "Iphigenia.... welcome to our Host Club's Arabian Night's fantasy," he says, rising.

[ohmaiden]

Now that Steerpike is--missing in action, as it were, Iphi feels free to, well, shop around. Hm.

"Oh?" She giggles a little. "You're very dashing."

Typist willing, she'll go up to him and plant a kiss on his cheek. Shopping around indeed.

He blushes, glancing away. "How have you been? It has been some time since we last spoke," he notes.

[ohmaiden]

"I've been well," she replies, still smiling and noting the blush. "And you?"

[77th_earl]

"I have been rather busy: I auditioned for a role in a play that is going to be performed later this spring," he says. "I have also been seeking to learn to be a better ruler, should I ever return to Gormenghast."

[ohmaiden]

"Oh, a play! That's wonderful!" she exclaims. "And Titus, I'm certain you already are a good ruler. Don't doubt yourself, please."

"Gormenghast needs a stronger ruler than I was, if it is to grow strong once again," he says. "I might have been a fine enough ruler, but there were things in the country that needed to change for the better."

[ohmaiden]

"Titus..." she begins softly. "You're fine."

[77th_earl]

"I might be, but there are things that will need to be changed in Gormenghast, the things that drove me from it, which must be changed if I am to return there and rule it," he replies. "I do not despise my country, but if I ever return, I want to know what seeds need to be planted to change the climate."

[ohmaiden]

"But Titus, we're all stuck here for now. Why not make the best of it?" She smiles a little, perhaps flirtatiously.

He smiles quietly, yet with pleasure. "I do not intend to leave, not any time soon. But if I should return as suddenly as I arrived, I would hope to be prepared when and if I should find my way back to my realm. But till then, I will enjoy what we have here." He's not sure who he means by "we", but she's welcome to interpret it how she pleases.

She blushes. "I'm glad, then. You're very smart."

Typist willing, she might reach for his hand.

He lets her take it, clasping it gently yet fondly. "Is there something that I might fetch for you? Perhaps a cup of tea or a slice of cake?" he asks.

[ohmaiden]

"Oh, I'm fine how I am, really," she replies. "So what's the outfit all about anyway?"

[77th_earl]

"The gentlemen of the Host Club are, as it were, visiting the exotic land of Arabia: I am supposed to be a young nobleman from England making a trip around the world," he says. Then he pauses and adds, with a small smirk, "Though I dare say, England sounds as mysterious and exotic to me as Arabia would to a nobleman from England."
