Just my luck

Of course, everyone knows that when something good happens to me, something bad is to follow. Actually, a string of bad. Weeks of bad. And in a lot of cases, this seems to always happen when I really, really need something or am really, really looking forward to something. In almost all of these situations, it can be narrowed down to nothing other ( Read more... )

I think they must have made some kind of mistake. From all you've said, I don't see why you wouldn't be eligible.

As long as I'm paying their greedy corporate asses thousands of dollars to attent their university, I should be able to get whatever damn job I want there during the summer. I think it's obscene that I'm a full time student there, as I will be next year, and still need to "qualify" for anything. I hate the education system. No, actually, I hate beurocracy. That is what I hate.

Nope. As I was just saying to someone else, if I'm already paying you thousands of dollars each year to attent your university, I shouldn't need to "qualify" for anything. It's ridiculous there even need to be Financial Profiles in the first place. I go there full time, you're getting all of my money, I deserve a part-time job there. Period. Anyway, thank you. I hope you're right. <3

Well, shit. I really hope that it was some stupid error on the administration's part; from the way you described your financial situation, it would be completely unreasonable to be ineligible for aid. Who doesn't need aid?

Just take the weekend to clear your head so that everything can go smoothly on Monday morning. Your employer sounds forgiving, and she obviously thinks highly of you and your qualifications if she's willing to wait before just moving on to the next applicant. You know that you deserve the job, so try and stay positive, sweetie. I hope everything works out. xx

I really hope it can be sorted, as you deserve the job. If you don't get it can you apply for any random job that pays money? I guess its not really what you want. Over here, I usually go to an agency and get a temp office job for the summer.

Hi Skyler.
I read your livejournal for, hm, maybe a month, but I never left a comment because my english is horrible (you will see), but when I read that entry I just wanted to leave you one.

I think it's really shit that you didn't get the job and I guess I know how you feel... things like that always happen to me, too. I will cross my fingers for you that everything turns into something okay.
