Carlton vs. West Coast - Round 10

May 31, 2010 10:30

It was a match that left you wondering what could have been if we actually capitalised on opportunities. Still, a win is a win and, despite our poor conversion attempts, there was a lot to be happy about.

Carlton 5.5 | 8.8 | 12.13 | 15.15 (105)

defeated

West Coast 3.1 | 5.2 | 8.5 | 11.10 (76)

Yay - after last week I would have died if we couldn't beat WC.
In the 8 is the best we can ask.

Injuries are a concern.

After last week, nothing would have surprised me any more lol. I didn't get to concentrate on the game, though, between stuff at home and having to do dinner, I didn't get much time in front of the telly. So I don't have much of an opinion after that game (hence defaulting to the article).

People keep talking us up as a top 4, but I dunno, I think we're probably beyond it now that we've let some easy ones slip. We've got some great players set to return this year, but I think it'll be a case of too late. It'll be interesting to see how we go in the finals (provided we don't screw up top 8 as well).

I was at the game, I've put my thoughts in the first comment below, (x-posted from elsewhere). it was a lost opportunity to really dominate i thought - we can do a lot better than this ( ... )

McLean will struggle to fit into the team at the current rate, I’m not sure why we got him.

To be honest, I've been wondering that since the day we drafted him.

It's hard to understand why they only bring said A-game to the hard matches. I'm with you, it's incredibly frustrating.
