Emma shook the proffered hand, and smiled back. "I am, indeed. Emma Frost. I teach Home Economics during the proper school year. How are you liking Fandom so far?"

"Good to meet you, Miss Frost. Fandom seems like a fine town. I admit I was bit concerned when I discovered the street I was living on is named Apocalypse Avenue, but I suppose town planners need to have some fun," she said with a small smile. "I must say, this was a marvellous idea."

Emma tilted her head. "I believe Apocalypse Avenue number one is the High School. Yes, I can see why they named it the way they did."

Harriet was still for a moment, then she nodded, accepting it. "Right. Sounds very unpleasant. Does that happen a lot here, aliens invading?"

"I'm sure you didn't," she said looking at Emma curiously. "I admit I might regret asking this, but first time with the aliens? Does that mean it wasn't the first invasion?" Harriet was beginning to suspect there was much more going on here than education.

Emma shook her head. "I believe there have been jelly dragons, trolls, snow monsters, the lost city of Atlantis rising out of the pond, zombies and vampires. Oh, and random alternate universe children."

Much more going on. It took a moment for her to take that all in, and then she nodded once more. "Well, I expect this is going to be an interesting term," he said. "I had no idea teaching was going to be so exciting."
