• Husband outside wielding a mastic gun whilst 'discouraging' bees from congregating around a crack in the masonry at the back of the house which they have suddenly decided is an ideal residence

• Son tearing out hundreds of sketches and doodles covering two years worth of, now otherwise worthless, chemistry notes

I have painted a chest, made buns, done three loads of washing and made lasagne for dinner.
