This twisted my insides - I like it so much! I absolutely love that conflict of Dean's expectations - thinking no one's going to mess with John's boy, that it's fear and intimidation that make him accepted instead of the lust behind those men's eyes.
And that it's John that taught Dean his charisma - probably showed Dean that smooth way to start conversations, build people up, make friends as easy as lying - is just perfect. Suddenly I have a driving need to know what Dean and John's first hunts were like, how young Dean was when he first saw his dad kill something or lie to the feds or charm his way into getting information.
(also, do you want a recommendation for where to post this on a community?)
Oh my gosh I am SO concerned with how John hunted with Dean those times when Sammy was still too young or when he was at Stanford... John and Dean's dynamic is just so excellent aAH!!!
