Aww.. That's actually the kind that I use that's making my hair dry. Which sucks, because like you said, it's GREAT. I *love* the different scents that they make, but after using it for a few months my hair is getting unmanageably dry. :(
I change my shampoo and conditioner constantly. I really wanna try the Wen system (www.wenhaircare.com). Its sulfate free but its kinda pricey. There are a few sulfate free brands at walmart and such. Besides that I like pantene and then I have a pantene "silkening creme" I use after I get out of the shower. I have very brittle hair and it breaks a lot. Every other month I do an olive oil/coconut oil treatment. As for moisturizer most anything with 15spf will be good. Just look for stuff that is for your skin type. I use dove or olay. And aveeno face wash.

I've found that switching shampoo brands after every couple of months (not necessarily after the bottle's empty), it revitalizes my scalp. It doesn't matter the brand - store brand or shampoo as expensive as asian midget hookers - changing routine every few months is awesome. I can't speak for my experience NOW, since I have dreads, but it would likely still be the same.
To take better care of your hair at a fraction of the cost: Fruit masks. omfg my hair loved fruit masks. Smelled so nice, and the acids from the fruits softened the hair and left it shiny.
My morning routine: - Brush my teef - Soak a washcloth with hot water & 2 or 3 drops of tea tree oil & put it on my face while I lie on the bathroom floor, stretching or trying not to fall asleep. - Quick shower, rubbing my scalp (I usually only shampoo 2 or 3 times per week, the rest of the time I "wash" with water). - Writhe around my living room floor & call that exercise.
Night routine: - 92 cups of tea. - Brush my teef. - The washcloth/tea tree oil bit.

I've been drinking a LOT of spiced teas. Orange-spice, Chai, Gingerbread, clove/ginger, chocolate-spice, etc. I tend to do that a lot in the winter. Berry teas and other light teas are had in the summers (for me).
