Yeah I'm in denial about that one thing. What do the screenwriters know anyways, they are just writers... poor Trip. :( Where's Porthos to lick his face?

Awwwww. Porthos is in Daddy's quarters, laying on his bed, while Daddy tried to help Trip get better. So then Trip can continue to teach Porthos to steal Daddy's socks...
