Why do I do this?

Seriously, why do I subject myself to this hell?  I got called into work because CUDDY called in and another server, oh yeah AND A FREAKING COOK.  I hate this job.  Seriously need to quit.  Like.. soon.  I kind of want to talk to Lisa, since she seems to be my advisor on the subject.  But pretty much after last night I'm sure she'd tell me just to ( Read more... )

One word of advice: don't complain about this job to your next interviewer, no matter how badly you may want to. Mention schedule incompatability, something... word it like you'd word a resume. If they hear you badmouthing someone else, they may consider what you say about them.

You're definitely not a House... and I'm glad, 'cause I'm not enough of a Wilson to handle it. ;)

I wouldn't complain to them. It was sort of an "if I got fired" situation, the reason I did would be that I was mistreated. Which seems to be backwards logic anyway, I was fired because I was mistreated.

:D I'm only House when I've cleverly avoided being called in on weekdays before because I actually have a schedual conflict. Meaning..school. Which I can't miss. Today, I don't have an official schedual conflict. I do, meaning I have an essay to write that I haven't gotten done because of work (..seeing a pattern here), but that's not enough I think.. ugh.

Ah, the old "can't get a job because I can't get a car; can't get a car because I can't get a job". Got that.

Sometimes, darlin, you just have to say "no". Or stop answering the phone....

Yeah, I normally don't answer the phone, but my mom got it. It was also that the hostess and a cook and a server called in, so it was two servers on the floor and one in the kitchen. Ugh. Yeah.

I'm sorry your job sucks. You can always spit in food.... this summer you should try to get in with a Temp Agency. They're great and you get to pick weeks you don't work and no one seems to ever expect much out of temps. They always seemed amazed when you actually do work... and most of the time you'll get an hour for lunch. I miss having an hour for lunch. Anyway, try not to throw anything at anyone's head today unless it's a rock.
