"This is 01. We should be at the edge of the enemy's target range within a couple of kilometers." Heero adjusted the radio as the first signs of severe static began to come through, waiting until it had cleared before speaking again. "Be ready to release the first wave as soon as the airship comes into sight." The Sentinel felt wrong, even after figuring out its basic capabilities during the week. The wrong potentials; the wrong limitations. He wasn't used to being so restricted in terms of mobility.

It'd have to do. It was all they had. The pilot briefly shifted in his seat, feeling several particularly large bruises reasserting their presence and ignoring the pain. He had fought under worse conditions.

"03, 04, 05, respond."

"03 here." It was all he needed to say; there was nothing he had to add to the commentary. He had never particularly been a chatterbox in battle, and he was still tired from the previous two days to boot.

The Sentinel was different. If he were to be perfectly honest with himself, he very much disliked it. Heavyarms II was closer to what he was familiar with, modified and smaller but less foreign in controls and design. Still, a soldier used whatever he could in a fight, and he would do as ordered.

The fact that they hadn't gotten to put anything besides machine guns and the sort on the mechs didn't bother him too much. That was all he used in his own world, anyway.

"This is 05" Wufei stated, hoping the primitive radio system they were using didn't simply decide to give out during their upcoming battle. The white noise it was currently emitting certainly didn't work to reassure him.

He had similar feelings on the Sentinels. They were bulky and lacked the capabilities for movements as refined as those of Nataku. Still, after much research Wufei had concluded that they were the best option available to them for an air strike. Despite his determination to focus on the task at hand, Wufei found himself missing the resources available to the Preventers for this type of situation.

Putting such thoughts aside for the moment, he reviewed the data the Sentinel was displaying. "I can see it. At your signal, 01."

Missiles- they were in range. "02. Going in for the jam." He boosted ahead, watching the power levels carefully. Something he rarely had to do back home, when they only had to worry about fuel when they were SOL in the middle of space and unable to go to a port- but he'd done it before, when he'd lost propulsion mid space, was captured by OZ- the first time he'd let Deathscythe down. He promised himself it wouldn't happen again ( ... )

"Understood. Take your normal positions and ready assault. Try to keep debris away from any buildings." Heero fell into a brief silence as the last part of the statement sunk in--the event that had happened two days ago had brought back older memories.

"These suits are ill-equipped to take a lot of blows. Keep it in mind," he finished, flying in and preparing to fire the cannons at the side of the ship. The suit wasn't fast--not half as fast as Wing--but it'd hold up in the upcoming fight. It'd have to.

With a last minute adjustment in his seat, Heero released the first round straight ahead.
