Vivi walked along the street, his backpack stuffed with his Christmas shopping to the point where it looked like it was going to burst. He wore his usual hat, accompanied by a striped scarf wrapped around his neck and the lower half of his head. Every few steps he'd look up at the surrounding area or come to a complete stop and check before continuing on.

After a few minutes he came to a stop and set his bag down, before pulling something out from one of the pockets; a thermos. There was a flash of light and a small fire appeared on Vivi's palm, burning under the thermos for a moment before being extinguished. He took the lid off and started to pour himself a cup of whatever was inside, still looking around.

There are certain things that catch her eye while out on patrol, kids being one of them. Moving down Steph slides from the shadows and LOOMS. "Aren't you a bit young to be out alone with this much stuff?"

After the fun encounter he'd had with Azrael a few nights ago, Vivi wasn't in the mood for surprises - like someone suddenly stepping from the shadows. He leapt back and stretched his free hand out in front of him, palm facing the stranger. Frost started to form around his hand as he glared at her.

"Are you here to tell me I'm doing something wrong?" he demanded.

Batgirl threw her hands up to show she didn't intend to hurt the guy. "Hey, I was just keeping an eye out. It's the time of day that the bad people come out and I don't like seeing people hurt."

[Three robberies and a mugging and she'd only been out since ten. Clearly this was a busy season for crime fighting.

Wait, was someone swinging towards her rooftop? Someone wearing a... Bat...

Well she had known she'd run into one of them sooner or later, but this definitely seemed sooner.]

XD I'm assuming her costume is like the icon? Y/N/cookies? blondevigilante December 18 2011, 06:54:02 UTC
[She's used to seeing folks running the roofs. In a city full of heroes it's unavoidable, so she's cautious but not too cautious as she lands on the same roof soundlessly. It's a Bat art form.]

Long night?

[Basically think Terry's with yellow accents instead of red.

Max crosses her arms defensively, mostly hiding the Bat she's wearing. She doesn't recognize this costume or anyone in the Batfamily it might be, which means it's yet another member of the extended Batfamily who doesn't exist back home.

She's very careful to disguise her voice, using the same accent as Batman does in old vid captured of him. Old Gotham, and deeper than her normal voice.]

And it's barely even started.

[Even trying to hide the symbol Batgirl can still pick out the tell-tale signs of a fellow Bat. She's not a great detective like Tim, but Steph can tell a forced voice change. Hell, on certain occasions she's done the same]

I'm not trying to step on your turf. [She throws a hand out] Batgirl.

[If Batgirl's path happens to take her past The City's version of Rockefeller Center, she might just stumble upon a certain turtle fully decked out in winter garb as he sits on the ledge of a nearby building taking in the sights.
There's a large thermos to his left, and on his right is his satchel.]

[She DOES make a point to head that way. There's no better view of the Center than from a roof, and damn if that doesn't make a girl feel all warm and fuzzy even in leather and Kevlar.

Spying Mike she swings towards him, her cape flapping in the wind as she lands with a smile.]

Room for one more?

[He figured at some point someone would end up joining him. You can't honestly expect a spot this good to remain vacant for long. Which is exactly why he brought an extra cup with him.]

"But of course. Cocoa?"

Love some.

[She sits and relaxes a bit. Okay, so she's never approached Mike in costume, but that doesn't suddenly make him a unimportant. She'd like to think they were sort of friends in that whole I-think-your-brother-is-pain-but-I-still-like-him kind of way.]

Um, I didn't realize turtles were so into winter.

[She really hoped that wasn't some sort of rude question/statement]

It was late, she knew. But Midii wasn't afraid of the dark. She just wanted to see. The starlit sky...the glow of Christmas decorations lining the shop windows...everything. Without the daytime crowds.

She had only been in the City for a short time, yet somehow there had been a select few who had befriended her. If she used the term 'friend' loosely, of course. There was Ginny, the girl determined to become her big sister, whether Midii liked it or not (she did); Bakura, the very first person she had met; him....

Should she even consider getting them presents this year? Especially him. Her mind was awash with thoughts debating the pros and cons, so much so that she was hardly aware of her surroundings as her eyes lingered on a few of the window displays. Staring longingly at some of the trinkets behind the thick glass.

Having a lack of money and friends that you want to give to is something that's fairly familiar to Steph. Of course she's not Steph right now, she's Batgirl, but that doesn't mean she can't pop by those sparking window displays. Seeing the girl her heart goes out a bit. Yeah, she remembers that look all too well.

"You know, making a gift often carries much more meaning that buying one. I mean, why get someone the same thing everyone else is getting for Christmas?"

She jumps at the voice, spinning on her heels. Instincts kick in, and she immediately observes and assesses the stranger before her: long, blonde hair and curved figure (woman); strange black outfit (vigilante); hints of a smile beneath the mask (friendly).

With this in mind, Midii relaxes slightly.

"It's not the buying, or the not buying," she replies back. "It's the who. I don't know who I should give a present this year, or not."

For a second Batgirl tenses up ready for a fight, but the girl relaxes and Batgirl follows suit.

"Oh? Well, are you friends? Like on a first name basis." She leans against the window and gives the items a nice once over. Yeah, this is totally the sort of window she used to stare at back home.
